The fine print, kept simple.

Last updated: September 15, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose. It describes how we actually work, not boilerplate.

These policies cover mirrorfinishdigital.com and the services Mirror Finish Digital ("we", "us") provides. "You" means the person or business using the site or buying from us. If you agree to them on behalf of a business, you confirm you're allowed to.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

• What you send us. When you request a mockup or book a call: your name, business name, phone number, email or Instagram handle, your website or Instagram link, your preferred contact method and day, the package you're interested in, and anything you write in a message.
• What you share while we work together. Your logo, photos, service list, prices, and any account access you give us to set things up.
• Payments. Deposits and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We see the amount, the date, and the name and email on the payment, never your full card number.
• Site usage, only if you accept cookies. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel record pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and how you arrived. See Cookies.
• Basic server logs. Our host, Netlify, records technical details such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and running.

The instant estimate on our Services page and the forms on our demo sites don't send anything anywhere. They run entirely in your browser.

How we use it

• To reply to you, build your mockup, and deliver and bill for the services you buy.
• To keep the site secure and working, and, with your consent, to see which pages help people.
• With your consent, to measure our own ads.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don't use what you send us for anything else, and we never sell your information.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, our legal bases are: performing a contract or steps you asked us to take (replying, mockups, services), legitimate interests (keeping the site secure and working), your consent (analytics and the Meta Pixel, which you can withdraw any time), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the work possible, and only what each one needs:

• Netlify, for hosting and form submissions
• IONOS, for email
• Stripe, for payments
• Google, for Analytics if you accept cookies, and for Google Business Profile work we do for clients
• Meta, for the Meta Pixel if you accept cookies, and for ad management clients buy from us
• Our text messaging provider, for texts about your request and for Booked Solid messages

Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to a buyer if our business is ever sold, under the same protections described here.

Your customers' information

If you use Booked Solid or another service that involves your customers' contact details, you control that information, and we handle it only on your instructions to run your service. We never use it for our own marketing or anything else. When you cancel, we delete it within 30 days, or send you a copy first if you ask.

How long we keep it

• Inquiries that don't become a project: up to 2 years after we last hear from you, then deleted.
• Client and billing records: while we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

Email us any time to get a copy of your information, correct it, or have it deleted, and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in California, the UK, the EU or anywhere else with its own privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We don't sell personal information, and Nevada residents can still send us a request that we never do. We store and process data in the United States.

Security, children and changes

• We use reputable providers and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you without undue delay.
• This site isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have, we delete it.
• If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and flag significant changes to active clients.

Cookies and Tracking

The site works without any tracking. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel load only after you tap Accept on our cookie banner; if you decline, neither loads. Your choice is saved in your browser so we don't ask on every page, and you can change it any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our pages.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline. The older Do Not Track browser setting has no agreed standard, so we don't act on it separately, but tracking never loads unless you accept.

Text Messages

• If you give us your phone number through a form on this site, you agree we may contact you by call, text or email about your request. We don't send marketing texts unless you separately ask for them.
• How often we text depends on the conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email us.
• We never share or sell your mobile number or your consent to receive texts to third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
• Carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Terms of Service

Using this site, requesting a mockup, or paying a deposit means you accept these terms. A written quote or invoice from us can add details for a specific project; where it differs from these terms, the quote or invoice applies to that project.

Mockups and previews

• The mockup is free and comes with no obligation. You owe nothing if you don't go ahead.
• Mockups and previews stay ours until your build is paid in full. Please don't copy them or have someone else build from them.

Payment and launch

• A 50% deposit starts your build and reserves your slot. The remaining 50% is due when your site is ready to go live.
• We show you the finished site on a private preview link. Once the remaining 50% is paid, we publish it to your domain.
• Prices are in US dollars. Your price is the one shown on the site or in your quote when you pay the deposit.

Timeline

• "Live in 48 hours" means we aim to have your site ready to launch within 48 hours of receiving both your deposit and your complete content: your logo if you have one, photos, services, prices and the area you serve. For Concours, which adds brand work and a page for each service and city you serve, the aim is 7 days.
• Time spent waiting on you doesn't count, including waiting for content, preview feedback or the remaining payment.
• If your site isn't ready to launch within 7 days of us receiving both (14 days for Concours), you can cancel for a full refund. See the refund policy.
• Delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at a provider we depend on or a natural disaster, extend the timeline without liability.

Revisions and changes

• Two rounds of revisions are included during the build. A round is one set of changes you send us together.
• Changes after that, and new pages or features, are quoted before any work starts, or covered by the Website Care Plan if you have it.
• The Care Plan covers small edits such as price changes, new photos and copy tweaks. Anything larger is quoted first.

If a project goes quiet

If we don't hear back for 30 days after at least two follow-ups, we pause your project and release your slot. You can pick it up within 90 days of the pause at our next opening, without a new deposit. After 90 days the project is closed and its deposit isn't refundable.

Ownership

• Once your build is paid in full, it's yours: the design, copy and code made for your site. No recurring fee is ever required to keep it online.
• We reuse our own general building blocks and tools across projects. You get a permanent, free licence to use them as part of your site.
• Your domain is registered in your name, including when we set it up for you.
• We may show your finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

Hosting

• Hosting is included at no charge, on our hosting account.
• Whenever you ask, we'll move your site and its code to a hosting account in your name, free.
• If unusually high traffic pushes your site past the free hosting tier, the host bills a paid plan directly, and we'll tell you before any cost applies.
• If we ever stop hosting client sites, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and move your site to an account in your name, free.

Monthly services

• Booked Solid, the Website Care Plan and ad management are optional and month to month, with no contract. They're billed monthly in advance.
• Ceramic Coat and Concours include your first 60 days of Booked Solid. Nothing is charged when those days end; it continues only if you choose to keep it.
• Cancel any time by emailing us. The service runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then stops. Your site stays online and yours either way.
• If a monthly payment fails and isn't fixed within 14 days, we may pause that service. Your site isn't affected.
• With ad management, you pay your ad spend directly to Google or Meta and keep ownership of your ad accounts.

Texts to your customers

• If we send texts to your customers through Booked Solid, you confirm they've given permission to be contacted, and you'll tell us right away about anyone who asks not to be.
• We honor STOP replies automatically and follow carrier rules, and we may pause any message that could break those rules or the law.
• We send those texts only when the law allows in each recipient's time zone: never before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m., and within narrower hours where a state requires it.

Your content

You're responsible for the content you give us to use: photos, logos, copy, reviews and prices. You confirm you have the right to use it, and you'll cover us if someone claims otherwise. We may decline or stop work that's unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

No guaranteed results

We build toward more booked jobs, but results depend on things outside our control, like your market, prices, reviews and follow-through. We don't guarantee rankings, leads, revenue or ad performance.

Other services we rely on

Your site and services may depend on providers like Netlify, Stripe, Google, Meta, and email and messaging providers. Their own terms apply, and we're not responsible for their outages, policy changes or pricing.

Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, to the extent the law allows. Beyond what these terms promise, services are provided as is.

Everything else

• We're an independent contractor, not your employee, partner or agent.
• Either of us can end an ongoing engagement if the other seriously breaches these terms and doesn't fix it within 15 days of written notice.
• You can't transfer these terms without our written consent. We can transfer them if our business is sold or reorganized.
• Emails, online payments and accepting online count as written agreement and signature.
• Disputes. Contact us first, and we'll try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If that doesn't work, either of us can go to small claims court, or to the state or federal courts in Clark County, Nevada. These terms are governed by Nevada law.
• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, together with any written quote or invoice, are the whole agreement between us.
• If we update these terms, the new version applies from its date. A project already underway follows the version in place when its deposit was paid.

Refund Policy

Clear rules, so a refund is never a judgment call.

The free mockup

It costs nothing. If you don't love it, you owe nothing.

Build deposits

• Full refund any time before we send the first preview of your paid build. The preview link is timestamped in your inbox, so the cut-off is always clear.
• After that preview, the deposit covers the work already done and isn't refundable. If you decide not to launch, you don't owe the remaining 50%, and the unpaid design stays ours.

If we're late

If your site isn't ready to launch within 7 days of us receiving both your deposit and your complete content (14 days for Concours), you can cancel for a full refund of everything you've paid for that build. Time spent waiting on you doesn't count toward those days.

After launch

Once your site is paid in full and live, the build price isn't refundable. The work is delivered and the site is yours.

Projects that go quiet

If a paused project is closed after 90 days (see If a project goes quiet in the terms), its deposit isn't refundable.

Monthly services

• Cancel any time. The service runs to the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Partial months aren't refunded.
• The 60 days of Booked Solid included with Ceramic Coat and Concours has no cash value and isn't refundable, and ending it early costs nothing.

One-time setups

Setup fees, such as Get Found & Get Tracked Setup, Regional Price Structuring, Loyalty & Referral Programs and Domain Setup, are fully refundable until we start the work. Once it has started, they aren't.

Costs paid to others

Ad spend, domain registration and other costs paid to third parties on your behalf aren't refundable from us at any stage.

How to request a refund

Email hello@mirrorfinishdigital.com with "Refund request" and your business name. We reply within 2 business days, and approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Payment disputes

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; most billing questions are settled in one email. If a dispute is opened, we may pause work and services on the account until it's resolved.
